POSITION SUMMARY



Individual ensures that the faith-based identity of the organization is integrated into the operations and culture of the local facility as he/she facilitates/advances ministry within the stated goals and objectives of the organization, its relationship to the faith community, and the core values of Centura.



 



Individual oversees the following functions:



1.            Spiritual Care



2.            Workplace Spirituality



3.            Ethics: both clinical and organizational



4.            Values-based Culture Development



5.            Other responsibilities as assigned



 



Relationally, the position is a key partnership with the Group VP of Mission Integration, the Human Resources Department, and the Penrose-St. Francis leadership team.



 



MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS



•             Masters Degree – Theology or Related Field



 



MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



Theological Competencies




  • Exhibits understanding and articulation of the basic theology of the Catholic Church and its Sacramental structure.

  • Firm understanding of the history of Catholic healthcare, in particular, the history of the religious sponsor.

  • Influence decision making processes reflective of Catholic social teachings and Centura Values.

  • Ability to work with the Bishop of the Diocese, religious leaders, and other community leaders.

  • Solid standing within the community and his/her church.



 



Fundamental Knowledge of Christian/Catholic Ethics




  • Acts as an ethical resource to the organization in cooperation with the Group VP of Mission Integration.

  • Firm understanding and contemporary application of the Ethical and Religious Directives.



 



Three years’ experience in leading the organization in a ministry role.



 



Demonstrated Leadership Skills




  • Lead from a position of a healthy spirituality.

  • Lead CPE residents/interns from experience with the program.

  • Inspires others by faithfulness to the Core Values of Centura.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
