Position Summary

Candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the enterprise IT Communication toolset, including Orion Solarwinds, NetScout nGenius, Cisco Prime, ISI, and Wavelink. They will perform administrative tasks on all IT Communication Toolset platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating reports for any IT disciplines and leaders, providing metrics for capacity and indicating health of the enterprise IT Communications systems. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and keeping the IT Communication toolsets in excellent working condition. These are systems that IT Communications and all IT disciplines rely on for proactive indication, of the health of the enterprise IT environment.

Collaboration with IT Communications leaders and staff will be a primary responsibility. Additionally collaboration responsibilities with Windows systems engineers, Storage Administrators, internal and external support teams, will be required.

Minimum Education Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.

  • Experience in lieu of the degree will be considered.

Minimum Experience Requirements

  • Five years of experience in an IT infrastructure support environment.

  • A demonstrated understanding of Data Networking and Software Administration is also required.

  • License/Certifications

  • CCNA Required

  • CCNP Preferred – Need to be on a track to complete.

  • Experience with Cisco Prime and Netscout/nGenius Preferred

  • Microsoft Certifications Preferred

Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )

  • Works with IT Communications Leaders and staff to proactively monitor, assess, report on the health and/or issues associated with all enterprise IT infrastructure. Work with all IT staff as requested to problem solve and resolve issues with follow-up audit and test results.*

  • Responsible for ongoing identification of all new network components to insure infrastructure and system tools integrity. Must validate the integrity and test to insure any new reports reflect the additional infrastructure for accuracy. *

  • Responsible for proactively monitoring tools for network capacity thresholds, and report to appropriate IT Communication leaders so that appropriate actions can be taken prior to any incident or oversight occurs. Regular reporting intervals of not less than 30 days will be required.*

  • Review biweekly productivity reports with IT Communications Leaders and prepare schedule of possible problem areas. *

  • Must work closely with multiple IT disciplines to insure integrity of enterprise IT as it relates to data security, telecom expenses, and network performance, providing reports to any of these disciplines and others will be a requirement. *

  • Works closely with IT Communications Director and Managers to insure all maintenance contracts are current, and network inventory tools are providing an accurate view of all covered components and devices. Identifies potential and devices that have reached their end-of-life designation form the manufacturer so that decisions can be made to mitigate. Insures all maintenance inventories are up to date and accurate. *

  • Functions as a resource by sharing knowledge and providing analysis and support to team and management as appropriate. Collaboratively shares in the responsibility of achieving organizational and departmental goals.*

  • Possesses a self-directed ability to work through difficult tasks related to system monitoring and capacity planning. Has the ability to analyze IT infrastructure performance, understands components of network/voice/video infrastructure and recommends opportunities for performance improvements. Has the ability to represent information responsible for in a user-friendly manner that demonstrates the key message. Has the ability to handle confidential details while exercising good judgment and discretion.*

  • Required to assist in the procurement cycle of all IT Communication Infrastructure hardware and software.
